Burnsville Soccer The Burnsville Fire Soccer Club is a non-profit, community-based organization partnering with the Burnsville Athletic Club to offer recreational (in-house) and competitive (traveling) league soccer for residents of Burnsville and Savage and ISD 191 students, defined as our primary service area. We have been the primary provider of soccer programs in the community since 1971 and provide a feeder program for Burnsville Senior High School.
Program Philosophy The Fall Recreational League provides local school-age youth an opportunity to play soccer in a community league focused on fun and enjoyment of the sport and team camaraderie. Coaches are required to ensure that every player is on the field for at least half of each game, and attempt to balance total playing time among players over the course of the season.
Eligibility Our primary service area includes residents of either Burnsville or Savage or students attending an ISD 191 school. Players from outside this area may be accepted as space allows.
Team Formation Players will be assigned to teams generally formed within the attendance boundaries of ISD 191 public elementary schools. Numbers may require combination teams from more than one school area. Competitive players will be distributed among teams within their school area. Players are encouraged to sign up with friends, and can request up to one teammate at registration. Volunteer parent coaches are needed for all teams. Late registrations (beginning 6/1/08) may not request teammates and will be assigned to the team with the smallest roster.
Calendar

Teams will play one to two games per week and practice once or twice per week. Families will be contacted in late July with team assignments. Games will generally be one weeknight plus Saturday between Labor Day and MEA.

Cost

Club Fees listed below include 8 league games plus season-ending FIREfest, a uniform (shirt, shorts & socks), referees, program equipment, field rental, coach education and administrative support, and for Under-06 to Under-12 players Kickoff Kamp!

Registrations received beginning 6/1/08 will incur a $25 late fee. Club Fees are non-refundable except in the case of a season-ending injury or player relocation before 9/6/08 or if the club is unable to place the player on a team.

Miscellaneous

*Fall Recreational League players may not play high school soccer during the season
*Players may not wear earrings during league games. No exceptions.
*Players must provide their own shin guards, ball (Under-6 & Under-8 = Size 3, Under-10 & Under-12 = Size 4, Under-15 & Under-18 = Size 5) and soccer cleats (recommended, not required.)
